Traffic Club of Chicago
This is an association of every significant transportation company and shipper in the Chicago metropolitan area. Its purposes are to foster communication between the carriers and shippers, to do community service projects that give back to the community, and to encourage education among all the members.
AEMCA
This is the Air and Expedited Motor Carrier Association. It is the expedited and air delivery association that represents the interests of both shippers and carriers on the national scene. This is the voice of the time definite and time sensitive delivery industry on issues of national importance with the political infrastructure of the country.
GPS411 Partners Alliance Consortium
GPS411, as it is known, is an alliance of Expedited and Air carriers whose function is to offer our collective services to both shippers and member carriers to insure delivery of expedited shipments per the customer’s requirements.
NLMI authorized carrier
An alliance of carriers catering to the automotive industry specializing in time sensitive and time definite delivery of materials required for the industry. Only the best carriers are accepted into this alliance, as these shipments are often times the difference between successful continuation of work and plant shutdowns.
Community Involvement
Hook-a-kid-on-Golf
The Hook-A-Kid on Golf Program was initiated 12 years ago under the auspices of the PGA Teaching Professionals of America, nationwide. The goals of the Program are to educate young people, male and female, all under high school age, to the Rules of Golf, the etiquette required to play and of course instruction in the fundamentals of the mechanics of play. These Golf Teaching Professionals, who donate their time, are positive role models who we hope the young people will emulate. The emphasis is on fun while teaching said rules and etiquette, which we feel, would help that young person develop into an honest, trustworthy, hard working member of society. Slipstream has been the lead sponsor for this program since its inception at Old Orchard Golf and Country Club, a public course here in the greater Chicago area.
Illinois Police Federation
This is an organization originally founded to support the D.A.R.E. program, a community group whose function was drug awareness for our youth. With the elimination of federal funding for this organization the program was eliminated. The federation is now supporting the Misericordia foundation, a noble charity giving support to this most needy children’s hospital.
